Explanation of Classes
Anu Yoga — Ancient wisdom for modern life, embodied through practice and woven into daily living.
Each Anu Yoga class uniquely weaves together Yoga philosophy, breathwork, Ashtanga Vinyasa foundations, purposeful Yoga drills, and prop work—giving you something to learn, something to feel, and something to carry into everyday life.
The teaching is rooted in deep, ongoing study of Yoga's traditions and lineages, with the understanding that there is always more to learn. Practice begins with a short teaching drawn from the Yoga Sūtras, mythology, or Yoga philosophy, creating a theme that is then explored through embodiment.
Dynamic pranayama, sun salutations, and an Ashtanga-inspired standing sequence build heat, strength, and a familiar foundation from class to class. From there, each practice takes a creative turn. We explore a particular movement or area of the body through Yoga drills, creative sequencing, and purposeful prop use with a Yoga rope wall, chairs, blocks, and Yoga belts. What we discover is then woven back into a well-rounded practice.
Anu Yoga is rooted in Yoga tradition, with the belief that Yoga is a living, evolving science—one that can meet the times and each student exactly where they are.
All are welcome. Variations and adaptations are offered throughout every class, creating space for each practitioner to explore the practice within their own body and experience.
Come for the practice. Stay for the community.
Be. Grow. Carry it forward.

About Sarah
Sarah Teddy Klein is the founder and director of Anu Yoga School, a Yoga Alliance–certified 200- and 300-hour teacher training school. With nearly two decades of teaching experience, Sarah remains first and foremost a student of Yoga, committed to the ongoing study of its practices, philosophy, and lineages.
Sarah found her Yoga home in Ashtanga Vinyasa, drawn to its devotion, discipline, and ability to create a moving, breathing meditation. Over the years, her teaching has evolved through deep study with teachers and traditions that have expanded her understanding of alignment, philosophy, mythology, breath, and the intelligent use of props.
Her teaching today reflects both reverence for tradition and a willingness to explore. She brings precision and depth to the practice while remaining playful, curious, and responsive to the students in front of her.
Guided by the principle of teaching to learn, Sarah remains a devoted student of Yoga, continuing to deepen her studies through ongoing mentorship, formal study, and immersion in the traditions that shape her teaching.
